Reeded Acrylic Shoe Cabinet
Reeded Acrylic Shoe Cabinet
Available in stock (44)
A full entryway, without the clutter on show.
A reeded acrylic shoe cabinet does two jobs at once: it holds the pairs you reach for every day, and it keeps them out of sight. Each door lifts at the knob and holds at whatever angle you leave it, so one hand is enough. Behind the ribbed front, ten shelf rows wait in a black frame that reads as furniture, not shelving.
44.09 in W · 12.60 in D · 67.72 in H · Reeded acrylic · Black frame · Lift-up doors
- Doors that stay where you leave them. Lift the knob and the panel holds its angle, so you can pull a pair out with one hand and set it back without holding anything open.
- Reeded acrylic softens the view. Vertical ribs blur the rows just enough to keep the front quiet, while still letting you spot which pair is where.
- Five sections, layered shelving. Each compartment carries an upper and a lower row, so the daily rotation gets its own line instead of a pile.
- Closed on every other side. Solid back and side panels keep the cabinet looking like a clean block from the room, with nothing showing through.
- A top that earns its space. Flat and black, wide enough for a catch-all tray, a lamp or a plant that would otherwise crowd the hallway.
One hand is all it takes
You come in with bags, a coat over one arm and a coffee in the other. Nothing about that moment is improved by a latch. The door lifts from the knob and stays put, so your free hand goes straight to the pair you want and straight back. A magnetic catch draws the panel closed again when you let it go, and the front sits flush with the section below.
Texture instead of another flat panel
Most closed storage hides its contents behind a plain slab. The ribbed acrylic does something quieter: it scatters light across the front, so the cabinet shifts as the room does, and the rows behind it stay suggested rather than exposed. The black frame keeps that softness grounded, and the brass-tone knobs give each section a single point to read against the texture.
Where it fits
| By the front door. Sits close to the wall without crowding the swing of the door, with the top left free for keys, post and a tray. | Bedroom or walk-in closet. Keeps the rotation visible, so the pair you want is a lift away instead of a search through boxes. |
| Hallway or apartment landing. A shallow footprint that leaves the walkway clear and turns a blank stretch of wall into storage. | Mudroom or back entry. Holds the boots and sneakers that would otherwise land inside the door, closed away from the rest of the house. |

Care
Wipe the frame with a dry or barely damp cloth. The acrylic front takes water and a little mild soap, then a soft cloth to dry, which keeps the ribs clear and free of streaks. Leave out abrasive pads, ammonia and solvent cleaners, since they dull the finish. When you swap the seasonal pairs, run a vacuum on low with a brush head along the shelves.
Questions, answered
What kind of shoes fit inside?
Sneakers, flats, sandals, loafers and low boots all sit comfortably on the shelf rows. Taller boots are best on the upper row of a compartment, where there is room to stand them upright instead of laying them down.
How do the doors open?
Lift the knob and the panel swings up and holds at the angle you leave it, so you can reach in with one hand. Press it back down and the magnetic catch pulls it shut against the frame.
Do the shoes stay dust-free?
The cabinet is closed on the back, sides and front, so the rows sit away from everyday dust rather than out in the open. That also means the shelves need far less attention than an open rack.
Is it easy to keep clean?
Yes. The acrylic is smooth and non-porous, so a cloth does most of the work, and the flat black surfaces do not show marks the way gloss finishes do. A minute at the change of seasons is usually enough.
Where does it look best?
Entryways, hallways, mudrooms and bedrooms all suit it, and the shallow body means it can stand in a narrow passage without blocking the way through. It also works as a run of storage along a blank wall.
Can I use the top for anything?
The top is a flat, finished surface at a handy height, so it takes a catch-all tray, a lamp, a plant or a framed print. It is the sort of space that keeps the hallway tidy instead of becoming another shelf to fill.
A place for the pairs you wear, and a front that keeps them quiet.
