Most storage makes you choose: pretty enough to leave out, or big enough to be useful. This one is 13 inches deep, so it fits the wall you actually have — and closes a woven cane door over everything you'd rather not look at.
- 31.5" W × 13" D × 15.7" H
- Woven cane front
- Honey bamboo frame
- Flip-down door
- Woven cane front, warm bamboo frame.A cream octagon-weave panel framed in honey-toned bamboo on all four sides — texture you can see across the room, in a finish that settles into boho, japandi, coastal and mid-century rooms alike.
- The door drops down, the clutter disappears. The front is hinged at the base and folds forward until it lies flat, so the entire compartment opens at once. No drawer to pull past, no reaching into a dark gap — just close it and all anyone sees is cane.
- 13 inches deep — the size that actually fits.31.49" W × 12.99" D × 15.74" H. Narrow enough for a hallway, low enough to sit under a window or beside a sofa, and about 5 inches shallower than the console it replaces.
- One cabinet, five rooms.Entryway drop zone, bedside table at platform-bed height, reading-nook book bin, living room catch-all, or a turntable stand with storage underneath. Same piece, different job in every room.
- Small hardware, honest build. One round metal pull set low so it won't catch a hip in a narrow hall. Bamboo rails on all four sides of the cane, four square legs lifting the body off the floor, and countersunk corner fasteners holding the frame square.
A small cabinet that does quiet, hard work
Every entryway has a chair that has quietly become a coat rack. This cabinet is the better-looking place to put all of it: a low, 31.5-inch-wide box with a woven cane door that closes over the mess, and a bamboo top that earns its keep as a landing strip for keys, mail, and the one plant you will definitely remember to water. It sits against a wall and disappears into the room — right up until someone asks where you got it.
Why the front drops instead of pulling out
Drawers hide things well, then hide them from you. The front of this cabinet is a hinged panel that folds forward and down until it lies flat at the base, opening the whole compartment at once. You reach in from above instead of fishing through a six-inch gap. That is the difference between furniture that stores your stuff and furniture that archives it. When you are done, the panel closes flush against the bamboo frame with a single round metal pull.
Rattan woven for texture, not for a trend
The cane panel is an octagon weave: small, even cells in a cream tone, framed by bamboo rails on all four sides. Up close it is pattern and shadow; from across the room it is warmth. It also solves a small-space problem — a solid wood front at this size reads as a heavy block, while an open weave keeps the piece light against a white wall. The bamboo grain runs warm and honeyed on the top and corners, deepening in daylight and softening under a lamp.
31.5 inches wide, 13 inches deep: the number that matters
Most storage cabinets are 16 to 18 inches deep. This one is 12.99, and if we could only tell you one spec, it would be that one: it fits in the half-foot you actually have. It slides into a narrow entry, sits under a standard window without blocking the sill, runs along the wall behind a sofa, or lands at the foot of a bed without turning the room into an obstacle course.
What fits inside: a stack of hardcovers or a year of magazines; two folded throw blankets; a row of sneakers, flats and slides; hats, gloves, scarves, the dog's leash, and the mail you have not opened yet; remotes, controllers, and the cable nest behind the TV.
What fits on top: a table lamp, a framed photo, a tray for keys, a plant — or a turntable with a speaker beside it.
Will it fit?
Five rooms, one cabinet
The entryway drop zone
Set it beside the door with a tray on top for keys and mail, and let the inside take the shoes-and-leashes avalanche. At 15.7 inches tall it stays below eye level, so a narrow hall still feels like a hall.
The living room, quietly
Under the window or alongside the sofa, holding throws, remotes and the small things that migrate across the coffee table. The cane front keeps it from looking like office furniture.
Bedside, at platform-bed height
15.7 inches is level with most platform beds — low enough to reach from the mattress without sitting up, wide enough for a lamp, a book, a glass of water, and the things your nightstand cannot hold.
The reading nook
Paperbacks in, a plant on top, a mug on a coaster. Close the door and the corner looks intentional.
Turntable stand
31.5 × 13 inches of top takes most turntables with room for a speaker, and the compartment below swallows cables, a cleaning brush and spare sleeves. It is not a vinyl cabinet, though: the interior is sized for books and folded textiles, so 12-inch records will not stand upright inside. Check the interior height against your collection before you buy.
What you notice up close
A single round metal knob, set low and centered, so it does not catch a hip in a hallway. A bamboo rail on all four sides of the cane, not just the top and bottom. Four square legs that lift the body a couple of inches off the floor and let the piece read lighter than its footprint. Countersunk corner fasteners hold the frame square — they are part of the look, not something we tried to hide.

Care
Vacuum the cane with a brush attachment or dust it with a dry microfiber cloth — skip wet wipes, which can lift the finish. Wipe the bamboo with a cloth that is barely damp and dry it immediately. Keep it out of direct sun and out of bathrooms and sunrooms; natural fiber and steady humidity do not get along. Felt pads on the feet if it is going on wood or tile.
Questions, answered
How wide is it, and will it fit my entryway?
It measures 31.49 in. wide, 12.99 in. deep and 15.74 in. tall (80 × 33 × 40 cm) — about the width of a 32-inch TV and roughly five inches shallower than a typical console. A 34-inch gap leaves room to spare. Leave about 12 inches of floor space in front so the flip-down door can lie flat.
Is the front a drawer or a flip-down door?
It is a flip-down door. The panel is hinged along its bottom edge and folds forward until it lies flat, so the whole compartment opens at once. There is no drawer track to keep clean and nothing to pull past.
What can I actually fit inside?
It is sized for everyday clutter: a stack of hardcovers or magazines, two folded throw blankets, a row of sneakers and flats, hats, gloves, scarves, a leash, unopened mail, remotes and cables. It is built for books and textiles rather than large board-game boxes, and the interior is too short for 12-inch records to stand upright.
Is the rattan real or synthetic?
The front panel is woven rattan cane set into a bamboo frame. Cane is a natural fiber, so tone and weave density vary slightly from piece to piece — that variation is normal and part of the look.
Can I use it as a record player stand?
Yes. The 31.5 × 13 in. top fits most turntables with space for a speaker, and the compartment below holds cables, a brush and spare sleeves. It is not a dedicated vinyl cabinet: 12-inch LPs will not stand upright inside, so keep the collection in a crate alongside or on a shelf above.
Does it arrive assembled?
[Assembly required — about 20–30 minutes with the hardware and tools included.] Confirm with your supplier and replace this answer before publishing.
Can it go in a bathroom or sunroom?
No. Bamboo and rattan move with humidity, and steam or repeated dampness can warp the frame and loosen the weave. It is meant for dry, indoor rooms.
How do I clean it?
Dust the cane with a dry microfiber cloth or a vacuum brush attachment. Wipe the bamboo with a barely damp cloth and dry it right away. Avoid wet wipes, silicone polishes and direct sunlight.
